Swimming Pool Heat Pumps Heat SiphonSwimming Pool heaters General info Every unit is tested before, during and after final assembly for heat output, water and refrigerant seals as well as safety compliance. Heat siphon is a heat pump designed specifically for recreational water heating. If you own an air-conditioner or refrigerator, you already own a heat pump. The same principals are used to heat your pool. The standard compressor produces 4 units of heat for each unit of electricity. The Scroll Compressor increases that to 5 units or 20% more efficiency. Heat Exchanger outlive Gas Heaters: Gas heaters are constructed of sheet metal, copper heat exchanger with cast iron water connections. This is done to position the Gas heater at a lower cost than heat pumps. Heat Exchangers have no flames. No pilot light to blow out or light. Scroll CompressorTwo models are available with the scroll compressor, manufactured by Copeland. Unlike the conventional Heat Pump compressors which use a piston and two check valves to compress refrigerant to make heat, the Scroll compressor has two scrolls that rotate around each other to continuously compress refrigerant with no valves. Guaranteed Corrosion free for life. 5 year warranty on compressor.

Since 1975 heat pumps have been the lowest cost method of heating a swimming pool. Fuel costs are graphical shown at left. Heat Siphon produces heat at 1/2 the cost of Natural Gas, 1/3 the cost of oil or propane and 1/5 the cost of Electric Resistance heaters. Heat pumps will always be 1/4 to 1/5 the cost of straight resistance heater. For each unit of electricity heat pumps produce 4 to 5 units of heat and has been tested by an independent laboratory and approved a meeting nationally recognized safety standards. |
